SongScratch is operated by Wiredcoyote Digital, a web development business based in Cheshire, United Kingdom. When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean Wiredcoyote Digital.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
When you use SongScratch, we store the content you create: audio recordings, text notes, tags, song projects, and associated metadata such as key signatures, BPM, and mood labels. This is your creative content and we treat it as yours.
We collect basic usage data to provide the Creative Pulse feature: when captures are created and how the app is used. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Your data is used solely to provide the SongScratch service to you. We do not sell, share, or provide your data to third parties for their marketing purposes. Ever.
If you subscribe to the Pro plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details - Stripe handles this securely. We store only your Stripe customer ID and the last four digits of your card for display purposes.
Your data is stored on servers in the United Kingdom. Audio files and database records are stored on infrastructure we manage directly.
Your data is kept for as long as you have an active account. If you delete your account, we will delete all your data, including audio files, within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to an additional 30 days before being overwritten.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can also object to processing or request that we restrict how we use your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies.
SongScratch is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
